Our latest dashboard shows we saved public drug plans an estimated $4.9 billion in 2024–25. This record number brings our cumulative savings to $28.8 billion since we started in 2010. This is money governments can reinvest into systems and programs for people in Canada.
The data also shows all pCPA negotiation timelines have continually improved since 2020:
- The in-consideration phase, when the pCPA considers whether it will enter into a negotiation for a drug, fell from 5.1 months to 2.6 months, a 49% decrease.
- The active negotiation phase fell from 5.5 months to 3.2 months, a 42% decrease.
